The Live Layer

The book is a snapshot. Rates move, offers expire, rules change. This page is the part that stays current — and the tools that were too interactive to print.

01Which redress deadline is yours?Time-limited

The motor finance redress scheme has two deadlines, two months apart. The later one is the figure that gets quoted, and it is the wrong one for most agreements. Enter the date your car finance started.

Source: FCA Policy Statement PS26/3. Read the policy statement. Complain directly to the lender. It is free. Never pay a claims-management company a percentage of your own money.

02Stooze breakeven calculator

Chapter 15 argues the exciting route is worth about £36 and the boring one about £549. Put your own numbers in and check whether that holds for the deal in front of you.

Minimum repayments modelled at 2% of balance with a £25 floor, funded from the pot, interest credited monthly — the same model as the book and the Stooze Tracker. Savings interest is taxable; check your Personal Savings Allowance.

03Statement-date planner

Utilisation is reported on your statement date, not your payment date. This is why people who clear in full every month still look maxed out. One change, one billing cycle.

04The link directory

Appendix A of the book, kept current. Every one of these is free, independent, and sells you nothing. If one breaks, tell me and it gets fixed here before the next edition.

06The 12-Month Protocol

Credit repair is a sequence, not an event. Twelve emails, one a month, each with the single action for that month and anything time-sensitive moving in the market. It ends after twelve. That is the whole promise.

Not open yet. There is deliberately no sign-up form here until the list is properly set up — which means a named email provider, a real privacy notice, and consent recorded correctly. Collecting addresses before that is done would be sloppy, and this is a book about not being sloppy with your data.

Everything else on this page is free and needs no email address at all.

07If it helped

Everything on this page is free and stays free. There is no premium tier and nothing is held back.

If the book saved you money and you want to say so, the two things that actually help are an honest review on Amazon, which costs nothing, and telling one person who needs it.

There is no tip jar, no upsell and no premium tier. If you want to give something back, an honest review and one recommendation are worth more than money.
